Creating a new MyEBSCO account
MyEBSCO accounts can be created using one of the following methods. Use the links in this list to learn about the steps to create each type of account:
You will see an option to use a connected Google (Gmail) account that is associated with Beal University. BEAL UNIVERSITY DOES NOT OFFER THIS OPTION. Please create an account following the directions below:
- Put in an Email address in the box, this can be from any account including using your Beal email address, A Gmail account not related to Beal University, any Hotmail or other commercial email site.
- Create a Username
- Please note the following requirements for creating and using a MyEBSCO account:
- When creating a MyEBSCO account using an email address or username, users are required to adhere to EBSCO’s strong password policy. More details on EBSCO’s password requirements can be found here.
- In order to create and use a personal MyEBSCO folder account, cookies must be allowed by your browser.

Once your Account is created you may begin saving articles and creating folders.

The next time you access the EBSCO Databases after creating an account use the following steps to login:
- Click MyEBSCO. located in the upper right-hand corner on the initial database front page.
- Click Sign in to MyEBSCO.

From there, you will be automatically logged into your MyEBSCO account.
- For security purposes, your personal account will be locked after 10 consecutive unsuccessful logins. If your account is locked, contact your institution's administrator to have your account unlocked.
